The last few weeks I stayed on the beautiful island of Nantucket. A perfect time to escape the city to enjoy everything this charming island has to offer, from dune-lined beaches, chic boutiques + famed eateries. If you are ever able to visit, this guide will help you make the most of your stay.
First let me start by how to get to the island. The most convenient + widely used source of transportation is the Hy-Line Ferry from Hyannis to Nantucket which costs a little under $80 roundtrip and takes about an hour. The ferry also runs to and from Martha's Vineyard.
As for transportation in the island, bike rentals are available downtown and cars are available to rent if you wish to explore away from downtown.

Beaches
Madaket Beach - a more secluded beach in Madaket, close to Millies (makes a fun trip)
'Sconset Beach + the 'Sconet Bluff Walk - you will have to drive out of downtown but worth the drive, such a fun walk right on the ocean

Steps Beach - most popular beach downtown in Nantucket

Shopping
Montelle - my personal favorite, a perfect mix of lifestyle items such as candles, books, perfumes + stylish apparel
Milly & Grace - really cute upscale boutique, think LoveShackFancy
Salt Boutique - great store for girls in their twenties: stocked with trendy brands such as WeWoreWhat, For Love and Lemons, Show Me Your Mumu + Faithful The Brand
Nantucket Peddler - located on the wharf this shop is great for "Nantucket" apparel that isn't overpriced

Food + Treats
The Lemon Press - where my friends and I got coffee/smoothies/breakfast sandwiches, they have a good variety of food + coffee/drinks
The Bean - another cafe downtown, I personally liked the food options more at Lemon Press but this coffee shop was still good
Sandbar at Jettie's Beach - beachfront restaurant + bar, good spot to sit on the beach and have a casual lunch/dinner
Something Natural - best sandwiches downtown, great to grab and bring to the beach
Millies in Madaket - my friends and I made a trip to Madaket + stopped at Millies after going to the beach near by, the food was good and drinks were even better!
Galley Beach - an amazing beach front restaurant with delicious food + cocktails, went here a few times during my trip + by far my favorite restaurant on the island

The Juice Bar - yummiest ice cream downtown (almond joy was my fav!)
